'No collusion': Trump invokes stale defense and declares Biden 'a criminal' in Sunday Truth Social fit
Former President and 2024 Republican White House candidate Donald Trump ended a relatively quiet Sunday afternoon with a trio of angry posts on his Truth Social app about the multitude of federal and state investigations into him that are already underway.
Although Trump's latest rants contained nothing especially novel compared to what he normally seethes about online, their timing could be seen as notable because of the new charges that United States Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith is expected to file against Trump for his role in plotting to overturn the 2020 election and remain in power.
Right after accusing President Joe Biden of being a "criminal," Trump also rehashed his "no collusion" excuse for what ex-special counsel Robert Mueller uncovered in his investigation into the connections between Trump's 2016 campaign and Russia.
